Hello there! I am back writing my blog after a few months away from it. Summer was busy & now we are in Autumn which I love as a season especially in the gardens. Cosmos flowers are still blooming, Japanese anemones are still flowering …just! The Sedums look beautiful with their sumptuous, succulent leaves bursting with water & burgundy flower heads, they always still look wonderful during the winter months too especially when the frost arrives.

I have just planted some fantastic tulip bulbs for a customer for the Spring, all of them soft creamy whites & pale pinks, a theme for their daughters wedding in April. I chose tulips that flower early March-April. I have ordered some more for me too, lovely sunset coloured ones called ‘Jenny’. This is what I love about gardening, you are always looking & planning ahead to the next season! I have ordered some more Cosmos seeds & another fantastic annual called Ammi visnaga, lovely soft feathery green foliage with white domed shaped flower heads that look like 1920’s swim hats!

The next thing will be carving the pumpkin for Halloween. I’ll try & come up with a new design .

Till next month,

Happy Gardening,

Lucy x
