Phew! Melting in the heat here, but loving it all the same. I wanted to plant out in my own garden today but I am gonna have to wait till later to cool down before I do that! Haven’t written anything on my blog for a while, just been so busy. I did go to Hampton Court which was brilliant, my dear friends at The Plant Company in Coolham, West Sussex got me a ticket & I had a great time. As ever there is never enough time to see everything, & I am sure I missed a few show gardens, but the ones I did see I loved. There was a brilliant orange garden with a very 1960’s feel to it, loved it, also the Ecover garden was great & full of bees! The Macmillan cancer charity garden was beautiful.
At this time of year a lot of the flowers need dead heading so the garden can look a bit ‘flowerless’ but if you are deadheading you will get more flowers following shortly. It is difficult in this weather to keep everything watered, the plants will find water deep underground, so don’t worry if you are on a water meter and are worried about the potential cost of watering everything. Water the very needy of plants & leave the ones that look ok, soon we will have a downpour I can assure you!
Till next time I leave you with some pics from Hampton Court.
